Renowned Pastry Chef Richard Hawke at TheTasteLab Singapore

Our team at Classic Fine Foods Singapore had the pleasure of hosting renowned Pastry Chef Richard Hawke at TheTasteLab. Over two full days, Chef Richard Hawke shared his expertise in mastering the art of vegan and gluten-free pastries, utilizing a range of Louis Francois’s exceptional products. 

In this immersive class, attendees were given a comprehensive education on the fundamentals of creating delicious allergen-free treats. The workshop covered numerous crucial aspects of pastry making. Participants learned how to work with proteins to achieve perfect whipping, incorporate fiber seamlessly into recipes, and understand and use gelatin alternatives effectively. Additionally, Chef Hawke demonstrated techniques for stabilizing and intensifying mousse and coulis recipes while also focusing on reducing sugar content without compromising on flavor or texture. 

The objective of these two days was to ensure that every bite of the pastries crafted in the workshop met the highest standards of taste and texture sophistication. Chef Hawke's hands-on approach allowed participants to gain practical experience and insights that they could apply in their culinary practices.
